The Brain Rules Learning Conference

Teaching Mindfully: The Role the Brain Plays in Learning

What’s really going on inside our head? How do we learn? This conference intends to use current brain research to inform practice in the classroom. We will begin the day with a full group session with Dr. John Medina. Then we will break into three 70 minute break-out sessions.

Keynote Speaker:  DR. JOHN J. MEDINA, PhD, a developmental molecular biologist at the University of Washington, has a lifelong fascination with how the mind reacts to and organizes information. He is the author of the New York Times bestseller “Brain Rules: 12 Principles for Surviving and Thriving at Work, Home, and School” — a provocative book that takes on the way our schools and work environments are designed.

Date:  Saturday, Sept. 28, from 8:30 am until 2:30 pm

Location:  Jesuit High School – 9000 SW Beaverton-Hillsdale Hwy., Portland, OR 97225
