The Oregon Academic Technology Society will be hosting the second annual Teaching, Learning and Technology Symposium on Friday, Oct. 26 at the University of Portland. The theme for the conference will be Engaging Students in the Global Digital Society.

Our keynote speaker will be Eric Anctil, presenting “Critical Status: Educating in a Digital World That’s Evolving Faster Than You.” Eric is a professor of education at the University of Portland. In addition to the keynote event, Jon Samuelson and Lisa Johnson will be at the conference to facilitate workshops on BYOD (Bring Your Own Device). Jon and Lisa are teachers, technology specialists and dynamic speakers from the Austin area.
Concurrent sessions will include the following strands: BYOD, Higher Education Applications, Common Core, STEM, Student-centered Teaching, Leadership in Technology Integration and Digital Citizenship.
